September Favorites and an Unfavorite

Hello everybody and thank you for reading today’s post, which is my September favorites and even an unfavorite. I know it has been quite a while since my last post and I just wanted to tell you guys thank you for sticking through it with me, I recently moved and it has been a little more stressful than I imagined. I will be having a life update post about all that up on Wednesday, as well as a haul/first impressions post up on Friday. I am trying to post every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this month as well as daily on Instagram. So let’s hope I can keep it up, and let’s jump on into this post.

img_4809

My first favorite for the month of September is actually a product that I tried once and hated, then never picked it up again until this month and I fell in love. It is the Real Techniques 102 triangle concealer brush. I do not even know why I didn’t like this brush at first, I think it is because back then I was only using a beauty blender for my concealer, but now I love using this brush. I switch between this brush and a tiny beauty blender, but I think this brush gets the job done quick. I like using this brush when I use more concealer since the beauty blender I use is so small. I think it has great coverage, and I love the triangular shape it has so I can get all areas covered easily. This retails for $15.00 and I got this at Ulta, but I know it is available online as well.

img_4802

The next favorite I have is the Studio Makeup on-the-go eyeshadow palette. I received this at the beginning of the month in my Boxycharm and I have not put it down. I am so in love with this palette, it is extremely pigmented and blends like a dream. It has a little bit of fall out, but honestly I don’t mind. The very middle shade that is like a dark orange shimmery copper shade is possibly my favorite eyeshadow shade ever. Also, I do not own the Kylie Cosmetics palette but this palette looks like it could be similar, it has similar shades and the same type of packaging. This is definitely my new favorite palette at the moment, and will probably go with me whenever I travel. To me this palette is a little pricey because I have never heard of this brand, but the quality is awesome so I think the $49.95 price tag is worth it if you have the extra cash. You can buy this online on the Studio Makeup website.

img_4803

My third favorite product I have this month is the Jouer essential lip enhancer. I received this product in my Fall September Beautycon box this month, but I have actually used this product before. I finished an entire tube of this product a few months ago and never repurchased but this brought my love for the product back. I use this product every single week day morning before I go to work. It really makes my lips hydrated and I wish I took a before picture because I have started to notice my lips are a lot fuller. I just have the original one, but I also know they sell them in tinted colors. You can buy these on the Jouer website for $16. This is my favorite lip treatment ever, and I think it is definitely worth the money. I might actually go buy a back up right now!

img_4805

My next favorite actually isn’t a makeup product, it is a bracelet I received in my latest Rocksbox. If you do not have Rocksbox, I suggest you go back a few posts and read my post about it. It is an unlimited jewelry rental subscription and has amazing products. You can get your first month free with the code “CORINNASCORNERXOXOXO” and you won’t regret it. This is the silver Moonsong Cuff by Jenny Bird. It is bendable so it can be totally adjusted any size you’d like. I love it. It is so simple but it can go with any outfit, and I am just so in love with it. I actually first saw it worn by youtuber, LeighannSays, and I fell in love with the Jenny Bird brand. That is how I knew to put Jenny Bird on my Rocksbox wishlist. This retails for $85 on the Jenny Bird site, but you can get it at a discounted member price if you do decide to sign up for Rocksbox.

img_4807

My final favorite for the month of September are the Tarte Lip Sculptors. I have the shade Rogue which is a dark berry shade, and I also have the shade Basic which is the perfect nude shade. These are lipsticks on one end, with a matching lipgloss on the other end. I always wear lipstick under my gloss, so I love how these shades match perfectly and I’m not searching for a gloss and lipstick that match. I also really like the formula of the gloss, it is long lasting and not too sticky. These are exclusive to Ulta, and retail for $24 which I think is a great price especially because they are like a 2 for 1 product. Basic is definitely my favorite shade out of the 2 I purchased.

img_4806

So now for my unfavorite for September. I really do not like the Ole Henriksen sheer transformation moisturizer. I tested this product out a few months ago and thought it was making me oily, so stopped using it. I started using it again to give it another chance and I am convinced this product breaks me out. I rarely ever ever ever get acne, maybe 1 or 2 zits at a time. Using this product at one point I had 6 different problem spots on my face. It was ridiculous and the worst my skin has ever been. Once I stopped using this moisturizer, it was fine again. I am not even going to look up the price of this product (although I do think it is $15 at Sephora for the smallest size)  because I do not want you all to waste your money. So disappointed in this moisturizer.

img_4808

That is it for this post, and the end of September 2016. I hope you all had a great month and here is to an awesome October. I can’t wait for Fall and the holiday seasons. I am so ready! Until next time, thank you all for reading.

Beauty Wishlist

Hey everyone, for today’s post I decided to share with you all the top 5 items I have on my current beauty related wish list. There is no specific order of these items but they are my top 5, and I have not purchased any of these items before. Let’s get started.

First on the list is, Josie Maran Vibrancy Argan Oil Foundation. So I absolutely need to get my hands on this foundation. Beauty youtuber, Jaclyn Hill, raves about this foundation and swears it is amazing. I have pretty dry skin so any type of foundation that is suppose to make my skin dewy and vibrant, I want to try it. I also love Josie Maran’s other products, especially her argan oil. I typically mix a drop or two into my foundations I use now, so for this foundation to already have it, it is perfect. You can get this at Sephora for $45.

group3_edit_edit__92446-1456259786-1000-1000

Number 2 on the list goes to, the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water. I have never tried a primer that is like this primer before. I love the fact that it is just a nice light water that you mist onto your face and you don’t have to rub it in. To me, it doesn’t seem like it would be cakey or heavy on your skin. Like I said previously, I have dry skin so the fact that this is suppose to hydrate and revitalize your skin really attracts me. This goes for $32, full size.

2288527.jpg

The number 3 spot on the list is the Wave Spray by Ouai. Now I really want to try not only this product, but the Ouai brand in general. Jen Atkins is the creator of the Oaui hair care brand and she is a really respected hair stylist in the beauty world. I have been seeing a lot of good reviews about this spray and I know Khloe Kardashian uses it quite a bit too. This spray is suppose to give you cute, beach style waves without the crunchy dryness that other sprays can give you. It goes for $26.00.

The next product on my list is by Nails Inc. It is their Paint Can Spray On Nail Polish. You can buy this unique product at Sephora for only $12. Now I have a huge obsession with packaging. If a product has cute, interesting, and eye-catching packaging then I am going to buy it. So not only do I love this packaging and think it is super cool that it looks like a spray paint can, but I also love the idea of just spraying on my nail polish. I hate painting my nails, so if using this product is as easy and mess free as it is advertised to be, I would love to try it.

s1800432-main-hero.jpg

Finally, the #5 spot goes to the Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops. These drops go for $42 and are an amazing highlighting product. From the swatches I have seen these drops look like liquid metal. I also love the fact that they are drops, so you can customize your highlight however you want. You can mix shades, mix it with your foundation, and use as much or as little as you want. I have also seen people just use it right on top of their foundations. They have six different shades, 4 highlights and 2 bronzers. To me this product definitely looks like a must try product.

MCM: Makeup Crush Monday

Happy Monday everyone, and welcome to another Makeup Crush Monday! Today I will be talking about a product that I recently bought and fell absolutely in love with, the Loreal True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator. Oh Lord, if you ladies want to glow then this is what you need to know…about this product!

IMG_3277

This product retails for $12.99 and it is available at Ulta, or most drugstores. The shade I own is c301 Ice Glace, but there are two other shades as well, Rose and Golden. I will eventually be buying those shades as well because I love this product so much. This is a multi use liquid illuminator and can be worn many different ways. You can wear this under your foundation all over your face for a nice glow to your skin, you can also wear this mixed with your foundation or over your foundation. You can wear this as just a highlighter, or all over for an overall dewy look.

IMG_3278

My favorite way to wear this product is to just mix it right in with my foundation, it really does give me a nice glow all throughout my face. I also love how a little bit goes a long way with this product. I have fair skin, so if you have a tan skin tone you may want to get a different shade to ensure that it does actually highlight your skin.

IMG_3285

I am very happy with this product and I will definitely be repurchasing this. I think this will definitely become a go-to product for me, especially during these warmer summer months. Thank you all for reading, and I hope you have an amazing rest of your week!

Makeup Collection: Eyeshadow Palettes

Hello everyone! Today I am going to share more of my makeup collection with all of you. These are my eyeshadow palettes, not including my drug store palettes. All of these palettes I have boughten at either Sephora or Ulta. So I am just going to jump right in with the reviews!

IMG_3237

These swatches up above are from the Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani eyeshadow palette. The first thing I want to mention about this palette is I love the packaging! I love the packaging for the whole collaboration they did together but especially the palette. The white with black polka dots really does remind me of Gwen Stefani and her fun edgy style. These shadows are very creamy and blendable, like most Urban Decay shadows, but I do think some of the shades lack a little bit in pigment. These are not all the shades but the shades swatched above from top to bottom are… 1987, Danger, Harajuka, Pop, Steady, Serious, Punk, and Anaheim. This collaboration is limited edition and both Ulta and Sephora have these products for a reduced price. I believe this eye palette is currently only $25 at Sephora. For 15 different shades, I think this is a great palette at a great price!

IMG_3261

This is the Lorac Reisling Romance eyeshadow palette, and this palette is absolute garbage. I am honestly not even sure why I still have this palette, I will probably just keep it for my Goddaughter to play with. I bought this on sale at Ulta for about $15 I believe a few months ago. These shades have little to no pigment, the only one with decent pigment is the darkest shade on the right side. I do not own any other Lorac palettes but I have heard good things about the Lorac Pro line and do want to try those palettes out. This palette though is an absolute no for me.

IMG_3254

This palette right here is from Urban Decay. It is an older palette of theirs that is no longer available. I am honestly not even sure what the name of the palette is, but it is silver packaging with a purple skull on the front. It is very similar to their Shadow Box palette that is available at Ulta for $34. It has a few more shadows in it, and very similar shades to this. These shades from top to bottom are… Sin, Chopper, Mildew, Oil Slick, Last Call, Shattered, Grifter, and Polyester Bride. These shadows are amazing! The pigment, how creamy and blendable they are, everything is awesome. In my opinion Urban Decay definitely have some of the best eye shadows in the game.

IMG_3268

This palette right here is also from Urban Decay and it is the Naked 2 Palette. Everybody knows that the Naked Palettes from Urban Decay are staples in everyones collection. This is definitely an everyday palette that I love. This is one of my favorite palettes to travel with because the packaging is so sturdy and I love the brush it comes with as well. I think this is a great palette with colors that look goon on all eye colors and skin tones. I need to get the rest of the Naked Palettes and really complete my collection.

IMG_3251

These three swatches are from Tarte’s Golden Days & Sultry Nights Palette. This is a small palette from Tarte and I am not sure if it is still available. I got this palette on sale from Ulta about 6 months ago for only about $15 I believe. These 3 shades are so creamy and pigmented, they don’t have any shade names but I LOVE that blue shade. It is so pretty. This was a great find that I came across because I love how pigmented these are. It also comes with what I believe is a highlight and contour shade (a white, and warm light brown shade), but those for some reason have little to no pigment and don’t really show up on my skin. For what I spent though, these 3 shades are definitely worth it to me.

IMG_3273

This palette right here is also from Tarte and one of my FAVORITE palettes ever… This is the original Tartelette palette. This palette is so blendable and has such nice everyday shades and some awesome transition shades. I use this palette multiple times a week and never get tired of it. I also really want to get the Tartelette in Bloom palette and that is the newer version of this palette. This is also a palette I love to travel with because of how sleek and easy the packaging is.

IMG_3245

Last but certainly not least is my Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette. Guys…this palette smells like chocolate! I love Too Faced, honestly I have not tried a single product from them that I have not liked. This palette is incredibly blendable, as well as pigmented. It has such fun shades that you can do a crazy look, or a subtle everyday look. I love how the shadows are heart shaped, and also the shade names are so cute. In this picture I watched from top to bottom.. Early Grey, Totally Fetch, Black Currant, Cafe Au Lait, Cotton Candy, Mocha, Molasses Chip, and Sprinkles. The pigment is this palette is unreal! This palette definitely makes me want more of the Too Faced palettes. They are all just so fun and cute, with amazing products.

Well everyone, that is my eyeshadow palette collection. I do have a few drugstore eyeshadow palettes as well but I will save those for another time. Thank you all for reading. Let me know in the comments below if I am missing any awesome palettes that are must haves!

My Top 5 Apps

Hey everyone, so today’s post is going to be my top 5 favorite apps I have on my iPhone! I am always looking into the app store to try out new apps, so I figured I would share my top favorites I have found along the way.

One of my favorite apps definitely has to be the Target Cartwheel App. If you are a frequent shopper at Target than hopefully you already have this app, if not then you have to go download it. It is a free app, and it basically is a great way to save money at Target. They have a lot of different offers on the app that change often, and save you money on all things sold at Target. You start with a certain number of offers you can use at once, and then the more you use the app the more offers you can use at a time. I have redeemed over 90 different offers, and have saved over $200 using this app. I also pair it with my Target debit card to receive another 5% off of all purchases. This is a great app to save money if you love Target like I do.

IMG_3120

One of my new favorite apps that I just recently downloaded is Hautelook. This is an app that is in partnership with Nordstrom’s Rack. It basically has new offers every day for a limited time, from multiple different companies and they have amazing prices. My first purchase with them was Ofra’s liquid lipsticks for 50% off! I have also ordered The Balm Cosmetics, Bliss, and more from Hautelook. The only downside is it does take 2-3 weeks for your products to ship out. I do not mind waiting for the shipping though since you get such a good price on the products. If you are not happy with your purchases you can return them at your local Nordstrom’s Rack, which I think is nice because it is a lot less of a hassle. So far though I have been happy with all of my purchases from them.

IMG_3122

My next favorite app is the Afterlight photo editing app. I really just like this app when I want to do a quick edit. I also enjoy the filters they provide. My favorite filter to use is “Bright Fire”. It is definitely my go to app when I want to do a really quick edit, or just throw a filter on. I don’t really use instagram filters because to me they are just starting to get a little old and boring, so I love that I can use this app to switch things up.

IMG_3123

Another favorite photo editing app of mine is Facetune. I  know a lot of beauty bloggers and beauty youtubers use Facetune as well to edit selfies and makeup photos. I love this app for editing photos of myself when I really want to show my makeup. You can do so many different things with this app and it really is easy to use. You can whiten your teeth, smooth lines, focus on details, change the tones, or even reshape the photo. You can also add filters and frames on this app as well. I think the quality of my photos have definitely improved ever since using this app.

IMG_3125

Last but not least is the Kylie app by Kylie Jenner. This app does cost $2.99 a month to subscribe to but not only do I love it because I am a big Kylie fan but I LOVE the Kylie Radio feature. She has a 24/7 music streaming service on her app, and it is commercial free which I love. You can’t skip songs but honestly I really like the songs that play. It is a lot of rap, hip hop, and R&B, but it does get a little mixed up every once in a while. I also really like how she breaks down her outfits and will link places to buy what she wears, and she also will provide cheaper alternatives. She also updates her fans on her Kylie Cosmetics line using her app as well. The app also has a live streaming service which is fun to watch when she uses it as well.

IMG_3126

That is it for my top 5 apps at the moment. Thank you all for reading. Let me know in the comments below if you know of any apps that I have to check out. I love trying new apps!

MCM: Morphe 9B

IMG_2969

Happy Monday everyone! Today’s post is another Makeup Crush Monday. My Makeup Crush this week is the Morphe 9B Blush Palette. This palette is only $19.99 and I am in love with it. It is very pigmented and it is also extremely blendable. I love how it basically has a blush that can match almost any look you are doing. They have subtle colors, bright colors, dark colors, and light colors. My favorite shade is the light coral shade that is the first shade in the palette, and the top shade in the swatches I have pictured below. I really love the Morphe brand in general. I am always really happy with their products and I love how they are such a good price. I typically apply my blush with the Elf Blush Brush and I believe that retails for only $3, so this is a very affordable brush to apply the product. Morphe also sells affordable brushes as well if you would like to order one with the palette. I also like the Morphe packaging because of how sleek and simple it is. It is just a simple black, open and close palette, and it is also very sleek and skinny so it doesn’t take much room up at all. Overall I am very happy with this product and it is officially a must have in my collection.

Weekend Must Haves

IMG_2824

Hey guys! So today is another Weekend Must Haves, Im getting this up pretty late, I want to try and post my Must Haves on Friday night and it is already Saturday afternoon, so I am sorry about that. This weekend is a very hot, sweaty, 85-95 degree weather weekend, and it is not a full glam weekend for me. I will be running errands, getting my hair done, and also going to the County Fair. So I am keeping my makeup light and simple for this hot weather. Lets just jump in!

IMG_2827

First up I have the NYX Beauty Balm in the shade 02, “natural”. On hot days when I know I’m going to be in the sun I hate wearing really heavy foundation and makeup, I get all sweaty and it just ends up feeling totally gross. So I really love this product. It works as a primer and/or foundation. It brightens, smoothes, and moisturizes your skin. I love it, it matches my skin tone well and I will just wear this alone on my face and it gives me just the right amount of coverage without feeling like I have mud on my face. This retails at Ulta for only $12.99 which to me is a great price because it can be used as a primer as well. I also like it because I don’t necessarily need concealer with it, and it is last longing as well, even in the heat.

IMG_2828

Second product I want to share with you is Benefit’s Dandelion Shy Beam highlighter. This is a nude pinkish color, and it is matte. This is liquid and it has almost like a paint brush little applicator. I apply with that and then blend out with either my finger or my beauty blender. This is such a nice lightweight subtle highlight for the days I do not wear a lot of makeup. I love this for my cupid’s bow and also on my cheek bones. It is a matte finish. This product retails at Sephora for $26. I feel like the $26 is worth it because with this product a little goes a long way. I have also heard of other people who like to use this as an under eye concealer because it has no shimmer, which I haven’t personally tried yet but I do want too. This is my favorite highlight for a low glam, hot day.

IMG_2832

This is the Pur Cosmetics Miracle Mist spray. This spray is a hydrating setting spray. I love it. I spray it on my face to set my makeup, and I also spray it on my arms and legs for a really nice hydrated feel. It is almost like a liquid spray lotion. This retails for $19 at Ulta and is totally worth it. I’ve been using this one for about 4 months and it isn’t even half way gone yet. It has a very light citrus scent but that goes away after it dries. I highly recommend this setting spray if you have dry skin and want a little extra hydration.

IMG_2831

These are my go to hair ties when I am getting ready, running errands, or to just throw in my bag in case I get hot and my hair becomes a hot mess. I am not sure of the actual brand these specific ones are but I know you can find packs of these at drug stores and ulta, even Sephora has their own. I got these specific ones in my Beautycon X Graveyard Girl box, and I love the cute blue/green shades they are. I love these hair ties not necessarily for a tight put together hair look because they can get loose, and fall out over time if worn for more then a few hours. I like these ones when its hot and I’m doing my makeup to keep my hair out of my face, and also because they don’t leave a big indent in my hair the way regular hair ties do. I also like to keep some with me when I’m driving, so I can put my hair up while I drive and they won’t really mess up my hair if its straightened or anything.

IMG_2826

My final products are makeup wipes and moisturizing sunscreen! On any hot days I always carry makeup wipes and a little thing of sunscreen just in case it gets so hot that my makeup becomes a mess I can just have a nice bare face, and let my skin breathe. The wipes I am using this weekend are the Burt’s Bees facial cleansing towelettes with white tea extract. These wipes smell sooooo good. I am obsessed with the light sweet scent they leave on my skin, its subtle but at the same time so refreshing to smell. They also leave my skin feeling soft and hydrated. Plus they are 99% natural, so that is a plus! You can get a 30 pack of these for $5.99 at Ulta which is a good price considering I just bought a 10 pack at CVS for $4. They also have other scents available as well.

For the sunscreen that I keep with me, I typically try to find a moisturizer with SPF. I also like to get sample or travel size sunscreens and just switch them up when they are out. This specific one I am using this weekend is the Murad Essential-C Day Moisture, with SPF 30. I got this as a sample with an online Sephora purchase. Actually, I think I got this in a point perk Murad bundle. Either way, I love Murad and always try and get samples when I can of their skincare products. So I will keep this in my bag for when I start to sweat in the heat, I will wipe my face clean and just apply some of this for hydration and protection!

That is it today guys, I know this was a long post so thank you for reading and checking it out. I hope you all have an amazing weekend, and don’t forget to stay cool!

ColourPop Review

IMG_2718

Hey guys! So Today I want to do a brand review for you guys. I thought I would start off with a ColourPop review. I own a few different ColourPop products, an ultra satin liquid lipstick, an ultra matte liquid lipstick, a super shock cheek highlighter, and five different lippie stix. Colourpop in general is an awesome brand with good quality product and great prices as well. So lets jump into the review.

IMG_2720

So the top swatch is of the shade “Lumiere 2” which is an ultra matte liquid lipstick. This cost only $6 on the ColourPop website, which is an amazing price because this is a very high quality product. It is long lasting and does not try out my lips. It is also in collaboration with youtuber Kathleen Lights and I love supporting beauty youtubers and their dreams. This color with Mac’s “Whirl” lipliner underneath is a beautiful color combo that will last for hours on your lips.

The bottom swatch is of the shade “Magic Wand” which is an ultra satin liquid lipstick and it also retails for only $6. This shade is also very long lasting and doesn’t really transfer. I love to make this shade seem like a darker nude by using a brown lipliner underneath. I think Colourpop has amazing liquid lipstick quality especially for only being $6, I highly recommend them.

IMG_2721

These swatches are of multiple different shades of their Lippie Stix. I love these products, they are so creamy and light on your lips. I feel like they do really well on your lips and won’t make them look dry. They are incredibly pigmented, and you can ever layer a liquid lipstick on top. The shades from top to bottom are Poppin (matte x), I Heart This (matte), Julep (creme), Heart On (matte), and Flawless (satin). I love all of these finishes and formulas, I really love how matte the Matte X formula is in the shade “Poppin”. The ColourPop Lippie Stix are only $5 and they are incredibly pigmented and such a great quality for that price.

IMG_2722

So the last product I own by ColourPop is one of their Super Shock Cheek Highlighters. This swatch is of the shade “Stole The Show” and it is a pearlized finish. I absolutely LOVE this highlight. It looks amazing as a cheek bone highlight but I also love it for my inner corners on my eyes, and also as a brow highlight. I have fair skin so this highlight is very nice yet not too over the top. It does give me an awesome glow though and the product itself is very creamy and blendable. This product retails for only $8 and I’m not quite sure why I haven’t bought more shades. I am definitely due for another Colourpop haul.

Also I just want to mention that I love ColourPop packaging as well. The packaging of the product is simple yet durable, and also when they send you the product they put the cutest little notes inside. I also recently got their new brow pencil, as well as a highlight and contour stick. I will be doing a separate review on those soon when I have more chances to try out the product, so keep your eyes peeled for part 2 coming soon. All in all I give ColourPop 5 out of 5 stars. Thanks for reading everyone!

Makeup Collection: Foundations

IMG_2636Hey guys! So I’ve decided that my makeup collection is growing and getting to a pretty decent size, so I want to share my collection with you all and review some of the products I own. So today will be all about my foundation collection. I will be reviewing foundations that I use and basically these foundations are all the ones I own other than 2 or 3 I have that do not match my skin tone. So lets just jump right in.

IMG_2622So this foundation is the Nars “All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation”. I have it in the shade “deauville” which is also known as light 4. This foundation is a very watery foundation. This is one of my more expensive foundations, I got it at Sephora for $48. Honestly I have not used this foundation very often on its own, BUT I do mix it quite often with my Sephora brand foundation and I love that combo! It has a nice glow and lasts throughout the day. Also I love the pump it comes with, it is very practical and easy to use.

IMG_2623This is the newest foundation I have added to my collection. This is Tarte’s “Rainforest of the Sea” foundation. I have it in the shade “light neutral”. This is a water foundation! It has a little dropper which works well but I’m not a fan of droppers for foundation, I do prefer pumps. This is another foundation that I typically mix, with either my Sephora foundation or my Loreal “True Match Lumi” foundation. It gives a very nice hydrating look to my face and it is very long lasting. This retails for $39 at Sephora and I believe Ulta carries this as well. Another bright side about this foundation is it does have a small amount of SPF, it has SPF 15 sunscreen in it.

IMG_2624This is my Sephora “10HR wear perfection” foundation. I have it in the shade “light 23”. I typically do not wear this foundation by itself because it is slightly dark on my skin tone BUT it is my favorite foundation to mix with other foundations because this has amazing coverage. I love the coverage and how long this lasts, for only $20 it is totally worth it. It is definitely a staple in my collection.

IMG_2625These are the foundations I own from Loreal. On the left I have “True Match Lumi” which is in the shade “W3 Nude Beige” and also has SPF 20 in it. This retails at Ulta for $12.99. I love this foundation, it gives me a nice glow and also has good build able coverage without looking too cakey. On the right I have “True Match Lumi Cushion”. I got this foundation after hearing Jaclyn Hill rave about how amazing it is, and she was right! I love this foundation, I love the cushion applicator, and even the packaging is cute. The Lumi Cushion I have in shade “W2” and it is the best color match on my skin tone ever. It looks so natural and gives me such a nice healthy looking glow, I love it. It also has an amazing mirror compact inside, and that is always a plus! The only down side is that it does retail for $16.99 which to me is a little much for a drugstore foundation.

IMG_2626 2These are my Make Up For Ever foundations. My absolute favorite powder foundation which is the one on the right, their “Pro Finish” powder foundation. I have very dry skin and this is the one powder that doesn’t make my skin look even worse. It is actually the only powder foundation I own and use because of how much I love it. I did just hit pan on this (sad face). I have this in the shade “117” and it retails for $36. Then on the left I have my “Ultra HD” foundation stick in the shade “118”. It retails at Sephora for $43. I love the coverage of this foundation, its very bendable and a little goes a long way. I also love how easy it is to use, I do a swipe across my forehead, one on my chin, and two on my cheek, then just blend with a beauty blender. It is so easy to just throw in my purse and use. If you have dry skin, this foundation will give you a great glow.

IMG_2627And Finally I have my Maybelline foundations. On the left I have the “Dream Velvet” soft matte foundation in the shade “10”and this retails for $10.99. On the right I have the “Fit Me” dewy & smooth foundation in the shade “110” and it retails for only $7.99. I have only used the Dream Velvet foundation once but I loved it. My cousin actually convinced me to buy this because her skin kept looking flawless for days so I finally had to ask what she was using. Her selfies were turning out amazing! The “Fit Me” foundation I have only worn once for about 2 hours, but it did give me a great dewy look. I am excited to keep trying these foundations, and hopefully they are as good as they seem.

So these are all my foundations currently, and I hope you enjoyed. Let me know in the comments below if there are any other foundations I need to add to this collection. Thanks for reading, and until next time!

Weekend Must Haves

IMG_2462-2

Hey guys! For this post I wanted to share with you guys my must haves for this weekend. I don’t only use these products for weekends, but for this weekend these are my main products. Just to give you an overview of my weekend, I don’t have much going on other than the Brad Paisley concert. So these products will be used while I run errands throughout my weekend, and also for the concert Saturday night.

For my hair this weekend I want it to look cute but without much effort. I have a lot of errands to run, and for the concert I don’t want to straighten it and have it get all frizzy (it is an outdoor venue). So I will be using the Not Your Mother’s “Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray. This stuff is sooo good to use to get your hair wavy and volumized. I got this bottle at target for a little under $6. It is so easy to use, I just spray it on my hair when its dry and then just scrunch it a little bit. Perfect! So easy to use on the go as well.

So this here is the NYX Color Correcting palette. I believe I got this at Target for about $11. I am new to the color correcting scene so I wanted to try a drug store version before buying a high end color corrector. I really do enjoy this palette, especially for weekends when I get less sleep and wake up with dark circles. I also use this for any red spots that I want to cover. If you have been thinking about trying to color correct I would recommend this product to start with.

This is my Makeup Forever Pro Finish powder. I love this face powder, and it is actually the only face powder I really use. It matches my skin tone perfectly, I wear the shade 117. It has great guidable coverage and comes with a little applicator underneath the powder compartment. I always keep this in my purse for touch ups, and it will definitely be a must have at the Brad Paisley concert. This is a more pricey product since it is a foundation, it retails at Sephora for $36.

This is a swatch of the pigment in the Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish 003 in the shade “Golden”. Now the Skin Fetish 003 is a high end product from a high end brand. This is the most expensive makeup product I have bought. It retails at Sephora for $72. It does not only include this pigment though, it also includes a Shiny Stick highlighter + balm duo, as well as a buffer brush. I LOVE this pigment, the color is amazing, the highlight is on fleek, and it lasts a long time with no touch ups needed. The brush and shiny stick are both great products as well but this pigment is by far my favorite in the package. The packaging of the pigment is a fairly cheap compact though, similar to I would say, ELF compact packaging. I love to just glow on the weekends and look dewy, so I love to use a dewy foundation and then apply this pigment. Highlight is on fleek!

Last but certainly not least I have my Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit in the shade “Mary Jo K”. I know that Kylie Cosmetics has some controversy on how its formula is so similar to the formula found in Colourpop liquid lipsticks, but to me I love the Colourpop lipsticks but the Kylie Lip Kits do just last longer on my lips. So I prefer the Lip Kits, especially because these are hands down my favorite lip liners ever. The liners are so creamy and pigmented. So since I am going to a country concert I definitely want to rock a red lip, and this one is perfect because of how long they last on my lips. I also enjoy the vanilla scent as well. The Kylie Lip Kits retail for I believe $28, but beware because after taxes and shipping they do total to about $40. In my opinion, still worth it because of how much I LOVE the lip liner.

So these are all of my weekend must haves for this weekend in particular. I really hope you guys enjoyed, and thank you so much for reading my post!
