Life Update: Babies, Moving, and More

Hey everyone and happy hump day! I hope you had an awesome Wednesday and are getting ready to have a great weekend. Today’s post is a little bit different. I just wanted to do a quick life update on myself to kind of explain my absence during September and catch you all up.

The reason I wasn’t posting much in September is because I moved! My boyfriend and I moved out of his family’s house and into an apartment with our friends. So it has been a crazy, busy, stressful, yet awesome month. I am still in the middle of getting everything unpacked, and I am having so much fun decorating. I am going to re-do my whole beauty vanity from scratch, so that will be fun. I think I want to do a white and gold theme. Let me know in the comments below of any furniture or decor shops I should check out, or even any home decor inspiration. I am especially excited for the holidays in our own apartment and getting to decorate as much as I’d like. This has been a huge change, but I am so excited and ready for this new chapter.

Also, some fun exciting news I have is… I am going to be an Aunt! I am luckily already an Aunt to my brother’s stepchildren, and now my sister-in-law is pregnant with their first together. Baby Bailey will be here in February and I am so excited for her arrival. Shortly after I received the news about Baby Bailey, I also got the news that my best friend is expecting a baby as well. My heart could burst I am so excited for all these new babies. I love when people around me provide me with cute babies to play with so I don’t have to have any of my own. Im sure my boyfriend is thankful as well. If you know of any baby Etsy shops that I should check out please let me know in the comments, I am ready to spoil these sweet babies.

Lastly, I wanted to talk about my fitness journey and trying to lose weight. I previously did a fitness journey post and I just wanted to touch base on that. I have lost about 5 pounds since that last post by eating less fast food, but I didn’t really start to work out as often as I should have. I did though recently download an app called “ClassPass” and I am really enjoying it. You basically buy a class package once a month (I get the 5 classes for $50) and then you can use the passes at multiple different studios and classes throughout your city. I can do yoga, boxing, bootcamp, ballet, barre, pilates, open gym time, and more. I have done a few classes at different studios and I love it. The app makes working out and finding a fitness class so convenient and easy, I love it. Also as a bonus, I have found classes on this app that I have paid $20 for before…. that means I save 50% on the class using ClassPass. If you sign up through this link you can get your first 5 classes for only $20, that is $30 off! Save $30 Here! I also recently got a new juicer and plan to cut out my Redbull habit (5 Redbulls a week) and replace it with fresh juice. So after a few weeks of trying to keep this habit up I will do another fitness journey update.

That is pretty much it for my post today everyone. I just wanted to touch base and explain really quick. I plan on focusing a lot more of my time and energy on Corinna’s Corner. I will be trying my absolute best to have 3 posts a week up, I am thinking for the most part it will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday when I upload new posts. This Friday I will be posting a haul video of basically all the new products I bought in the month of September. Have a great night, and thank you for reading.

September Favorites and an Unfavorite

Hello everybody and thank you for reading today’s post, which is my September favorites and even an unfavorite. I know it has been quite a while since my last post and I just wanted to tell you guys thank you for sticking through it with me, I recently moved and it has been a little more stressful than I imagined. I will be having a life update post about all that up on Wednesday, as well as a haul/first impressions post up on Friday. I am trying to post every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this month as well as daily on Instagram. So let’s hope I can keep it up, and let’s jump on into this post.

img_4809

My first favorite for the month of September is actually a product that I tried once and hated, then never picked it up again until this month and I fell in love. It is the Real Techniques 102 triangle concealer brush. I do not even know why I didn’t like this brush at first, I think it is because back then I was only using a beauty blender for my concealer, but now I love using this brush. I switch between this brush and a tiny beauty blender, but I think this brush gets the job done quick. I like using this brush when I use more concealer since the beauty blender I use is so small. I think it has great coverage, and I love the triangular shape it has so I can get all areas covered easily. This retails for $15.00 and I got this at Ulta, but I know it is available online as well.

img_4802

The next favorite I have is the Studio Makeup on-the-go eyeshadow palette. I received this at the beginning of the month in my Boxycharm and I have not put it down. I am so in love with this palette, it is extremely pigmented and blends like a dream. It has a little bit of fall out, but honestly I don’t mind. The very middle shade that is like a dark orange shimmery copper shade is possibly my favorite eyeshadow shade ever. Also, I do not own the Kylie Cosmetics palette but this palette looks like it could be similar, it has similar shades and the same type of packaging. This is definitely my new favorite palette at the moment, and will probably go with me whenever I travel. To me this palette is a little pricey because I have never heard of this brand, but the quality is awesome so I think the $49.95 price tag is worth it if you have the extra cash. You can buy this online on the Studio Makeup website.

img_4803

My third favorite product I have this month is the Jouer essential lip enhancer. I received this product in my Fall September Beautycon box this month, but I have actually used this product before. I finished an entire tube of this product a few months ago and never repurchased but this brought my love for the product back. I use this product every single week day morning before I go to work. It really makes my lips hydrated and I wish I took a before picture because I have started to notice my lips are a lot fuller. I just have the original one, but I also know they sell them in tinted colors. You can buy these on the Jouer website for $16. This is my favorite lip treatment ever, and I think it is definitely worth the money. I might actually go buy a back up right now!

img_4805

My next favorite actually isn’t a makeup product, it is a bracelet I received in my latest Rocksbox. If you do not have Rocksbox, I suggest you go back a few posts and read my post about it. It is an unlimited jewelry rental subscription and has amazing products. You can get your first month free with the code “CORINNASCORNERXOXOXO” and you won’t regret it. This is the silver Moonsong Cuff by Jenny Bird. It is bendable so it can be totally adjusted any size you’d like. I love it. It is so simple but it can go with any outfit, and I am just so in love with it. I actually first saw it worn by youtuber, LeighannSays, and I fell in love with the Jenny Bird brand. That is how I knew to put Jenny Bird on my Rocksbox wishlist. This retails for $85 on the Jenny Bird site, but you can get it at a discounted member price if you do decide to sign up for Rocksbox.

img_4807

My final favorite for the month of September are the Tarte Lip Sculptors. I have the shade Rogue which is a dark berry shade, and I also have the shade Basic which is the perfect nude shade. These are lipsticks on one end, with a matching lipgloss on the other end. I always wear lipstick under my gloss, so I love how these shades match perfectly and I’m not searching for a gloss and lipstick that match. I also really like the formula of the gloss, it is long lasting and not too sticky. These are exclusive to Ulta, and retail for $24 which I think is a great price especially because they are like a 2 for 1 product. Basic is definitely my favorite shade out of the 2 I purchased.

img_4806

So now for my unfavorite for September. I really do not like the Ole Henriksen sheer transformation moisturizer. I tested this product out a few months ago and thought it was making me oily, so stopped using it. I started using it again to give it another chance and I am convinced this product breaks me out. I rarely ever ever ever get acne, maybe 1 or 2 zits at a time. Using this product at one point I had 6 different problem spots on my face. It was ridiculous and the worst my skin has ever been. Once I stopped using this moisturizer, it was fine again. I am not even going to look up the price of this product (although I do think it is $15 at Sephora for the smallest size)  because I do not want you all to waste your money. So disappointed in this moisturizer.

img_4808

That is it for this post, and the end of September 2016. I hope you all had a great month and here is to an awesome October. I can’t wait for Fall and the holiday seasons. I am so ready! Until next time, thank you all for reading.

Fall 2016 Beautycon Box

Hey everyone! It is officially the best time of the year, also known as the Fall season! Today I am going to break down the Fall 2016 Beautycon Box. For those that do not know, Beautycon Box is a seasonal subscription and each box comes out to be $38 after shipping and everything else. Each box is over $100 in value and has a collaborator who is typically a social media influenster. So this box is done in collaboration with Makeup Shayla and Angel aka Mac Daddy. Let’s jump on into the box then.

The first thing that catches my eye are these cute little accessories that don’t typically come in these boxes. There is a little bag of some cute pink gummy sugar lips by Sugarfina. I also noticed a really cute lipstick pin by Laser Kitten. These things don’t typically come in the box but I think they are really cute unique touches. Also Beautycon threw in some really cute stickers that definitely match Shayla and Angel’s personalities. I especially love the sticker that looks like Shayla’s dog Titus. There is also a sketch of Angel & Shayla done by @rongrong_devoe_illustration on instagram, and it is an awesome piece of art.

img_4472

Next I notice the Flutter Lashes. I am extremely excited about these because they are the “#islay” lashes which were actually created in collaboration with Shayla. These are also limited edition lashes, so that is pretty cool they were included. Shayla is always wearing these lashes on snapchat and I love the way they look. They also included a small tube of the clear white Duo eyelash glue, so that is great because you are ready to wear your lashes now.

img_4470

The next product I grab out of the box is by Simple skincare and it is a pack of their cleansing facial wipes. I have tried Simple wipes before and I honestly am not a fan. I typically just use these wipes for swatches, or just keep them in my car for emergencies. I found them to be really rough on my skin.

img_4471

Jouer’s Essential Lip Enhancer is the next product in the box and I am so excited because this is actually one of my holy grail products and I recently ran out of it. This product is great at hydrating and refreshing your lips. Shayla also uses this quite often on snapchat, and I have been using it for at least 2 years. It also really helps with the fullness of your lips, I highly recommend this product.

img_4473

The next product is a Double Ended Highlighter Pencil by The BrowGal. I have never heard of this brand before but anything with the word “highlighter” can make me excited. I swatched this pencil and I can already tell it is a very creamy texture, seems to blend well and it does look like it could be a very pretty brow highlight. One end is matte and the other end is shimmer. I think by the looks of it, I would use the matte to highlight my brow, and maybe use the shimmer end as an eyeshadow color. Both shades are very pretty and creamy.

img_4474

The next 2 things in the box are a Milani eyeshadow in the shade “Bella Taupe” and an Ofra Cosmetics liquid lipstick in the shade “Mocha”. I have a few Milani products that I love but I have never tried their eyeshadow so I am excited to give this a try. It says it is a Gel Powder Eyeshadow, and it is a pretty soft brown taupe shade. I also own quite a few Ofra products, including liquid lipsticks but I do not own this shade. This is a very pretty mauve shade, and I think it is perfect for fall.

img_4475

Also in the box is Mocha-Kyssed Bronzer Lotion by Mystic Tan. I am really fair skinned and to me, I am really picky about my self-tanners so this is kind of a miss for me. There is a chance I will try it after looking at reviews, but I rarely self tan especially during the fall months. You also receive a Large Angled 504 Luxie Brush. I have never tried any Luxie brushes but I have heard good things about them, and it seems really soft so I am excited to try this one out the next time I do my makeup.

img_4476

And that wraps up the Fall 2016 Beautycon Box. I think this was a pretty good box, and a good deal for less than $40. I do admit I like previous boxes more, but this is still not bad. The main misses for me were the Simple wipes, and the Mystic Tan lotion. I should definitely be getting use out of everything else though. Until next time everyone, thanks for reading!

Beauty Wishlist

Hey everyone, for today’s post I decided to share with you all the top 5 items I have on my current beauty related wish list. There is no specific order of these items but they are my top 5, and I have not purchased any of these items before. Let’s get started.

First on the list is, Josie Maran Vibrancy Argan Oil Foundation. So I absolutely need to get my hands on this foundation. Beauty youtuber, Jaclyn Hill, raves about this foundation and swears it is amazing. I have pretty dry skin so any type of foundation that is suppose to make my skin dewy and vibrant, I want to try it. I also love Josie Maran’s other products, especially her argan oil. I typically mix a drop or two into my foundations I use now, so for this foundation to already have it, it is perfect. You can get this at Sephora for $45.

group3_edit_edit__92446-1456259786-1000-1000

Number 2 on the list goes to, the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water. I have never tried a primer that is like this primer before. I love the fact that it is just a nice light water that you mist onto your face and you don’t have to rub it in. To me, it doesn’t seem like it would be cakey or heavy on your skin. Like I said previously, I have dry skin so the fact that this is suppose to hydrate and revitalize your skin really attracts me. This goes for $32, full size.

2288527.jpg

The number 3 spot on the list is the Wave Spray by Ouai. Now I really want to try not only this product, but the Ouai brand in general. Jen Atkins is the creator of the Oaui hair care brand and she is a really respected hair stylist in the beauty world. I have been seeing a lot of good reviews about this spray and I know Khloe Kardashian uses it quite a bit too. This spray is suppose to give you cute, beach style waves without the crunchy dryness that other sprays can give you. It goes for $26.00.

The next product on my list is by Nails Inc. It is their Paint Can Spray On Nail Polish. You can buy this unique product at Sephora for only $12. Now I have a huge obsession with packaging. If a product has cute, interesting, and eye-catching packaging then I am going to buy it. So not only do I love this packaging and think it is super cool that it looks like a spray paint can, but I also love the idea of just spraying on my nail polish. I hate painting my nails, so if using this product is as easy and mess free as it is advertised to be, I would love to try it.

s1800432-main-hero.jpg

Finally, the #5 spot goes to the Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops. These drops go for $42 and are an amazing highlighting product. From the swatches I have seen these drops look like liquid metal. I also love the fact that they are drops, so you can customize your highlight however you want. You can mix shades, mix it with your foundation, and use as much or as little as you want. I have also seen people just use it right on top of their foundations. They have six different shades, 4 highlights and 2 bronzers. To me this product definitely looks like a must try product.

Elf Cosmetics Review

Hey everyone! I know it has been a while since my last post, thanks for sticking with me, I plan on having a lot more content coming this Fall. Today I am going to do a brand review on Elf Cosmetics. I have a lot of products from them so let’s jump on it.

IMG_3990

So for when it comes to eyes, I own 7 different eyeshadow duos from Elf. I got these during the holiday season, at Target. For the eyeshadows, I think they are very pigmented especially for the price. You can buy eyeshadow palettes from Elf for $6-$10, as well as eyeshadow trios for only $4. The eyeshadows can be a little patchy, and also a little difficult to blend, but for the price I really don’t think they are too bad. You can definitely make them work if you are makeup shopping on a budget.

IMG_3986

When it comes to Elf face products, I will first discuss what products I dislike, and then which products I do like.

I have tried the Elf daily hydration moisturizer ($8), as well as the hydrating primer ($6) and I dislike both of those products. I felt like they weren’t hydrating, they just made my face slightly oily and then it went back to being dry. The primer is extremely oily and did not help my makeup last longer at all. I also dislike Elf concealers. I have tried the Elf perfect blend concealer ($2), and it is extremely liquidy. It has barely any coverage and I feel like you really have to cake it on for just the smallest amount of coverage. It does nothing for me and it was really just a waste of money. I also have the under eye conceal & highlighter which is a duo liquid stick. It also has no consistency and has basically no coverage. The highlighter is white with glitter in it, which I dislike. The concealer is better than the other concealer but still little to no coverage at all. I also have the flawless face powder which I liked the color and how creamy it was, but it was not long lasting and also you had to really put it on to get the right amount of coverage.

For face products I do like, I really like their cream products. I really enjoy the Contouring blush & bronzing cream ($4). I own it in the shade St. Lucia, and it is a really pretty color. The creams are very blendable and a little bit goes a long way. I also have the HD blush in the shade Headliner ($3). It is a very pretty pink color, and it also blends amazing. The only thing I dislike about the blush is that it is difficult to pump out, and can get a bit messy, but for the price I think it is an amazing product.

IMG_3987

So for Elf lip products, I will review the ones I have in order from top to bottom of the swatches. The first lip swatch is of the “Nude Pink” lip liner ($3), which also has a lip brush on the other end. I do think this liner is very creamy, and a very pretty color. I like that it has a brush, even though the brush is a little bit on the bigger side for a lip brush. I do have to say though that I prefer NYX lip liners over this one. This liner is easy to smudge and is not transfer proof at all. The next two swatches are of the Matte lip colors ($3), in the shades Natural, and Cranberry. I do love these lip pencils, they are very creamy and pigmented. The color is beautiful. I just recommend keeping the pencils on you because you will need to reapply, but they are a very pretty and not drying on the lips at all. The next swatch is of a jumbo lip gloss stick ($2) in the shade Pink Umbrella. I don’t really like this product, I think it is a little heavy on the lips formula wise, and it wasn’t very much like a gloss either. Lastly is the lip balm tint ($2), which is a very light pretty color. This is a good product to use for a light soft color on your lips, and a light formula that is good for dry lips. I sometimes just apply this over chapstick for a soft hint of color.

IMG_3988

Lastly are just some random Elf products that I own. My hands down favorite Elf product ever is their angled blush brush. I use this brush every single day for my blush, and I love it. It is so soft and blends my blush just perfectly. The brush is only $4, it is amazing. I also own the daily brush cleaner ($3) and I use it occasionally if my brushes are getting really dirty, but I don’t think this is a must have product. It doesn’t do an amazing job cleaning brushes, but it is alright if you are switching shades and using the same brush. I also have the makeup remover pen ($3) and I think I will just stick to q-tips or makeup wipes. This product dries out easily and also isn’t great at removing makeup. I was really disappointed. One product I own that is not pictured is the lip exfoliator stick ($3) and I love using that product when washing my face. I use it to get the dry skin off of my lips when they are chapped, and it works great. For $3, I think it is totally worth the money.

IMG_3989

Alright guys, that is it for my post today. Let me know if you have any must-have Elf products that I should try. Overall I think Elf Cosmetics can definitely be hit or miss, but for the price it is always worth a try. Thanks for reading!

July Boxycharm

Hey everyone! So today’s post is going to be an unboxing/first impression of my July Boxycharm. This is my 2nd Boxycharm box and so far, I have loved this subscription. For those of you who don’t know Boxycharm is a monthly subscription box for $21 a month. Let’s get started.

The first item I pulled out of my box was by PYT Hair and it is an argan oil treatment. This is said to control frizz, make your hair shine, as well as prevent split ends. I use argan oil with my makeup, so I am excited to try some for my hair. I also just love trying new hair treatments because I honestly do not know much about hair. This does have a slight scent, that seems a little masculine to me, but it is a nice scent and not too strong. Overall I am excited to try this product, it retails for $30 and you can get it on the PYT Hair website.

IMG_3713

The next thing I pulled out was a Mally Beauty waterproof eyeliner pencil. I have received a few different Mally Beauty products in previous subscription boxes such as Ipsy, but I really never am too impressed by them and they typically end up in my barely used drawer.  This is a very pretty color though, it is the shade “Ice Blue” and it has a very pretty shimmer to it. You can purchase this on the Mally Beauty website for $18.

IMG_3711

The next product is by Noyah, which is a brand I have never heard of so that excites me to try it. It is a lip gloss in the shade “Malbec”. The first things I noticed was the packaging which is very pretty and simple, and also it is a really big lip gloss, so of course I love that. When I swatch it, it is a very pretty darkish pink shade with a really nice shine. It doesn’t feel sticky or uncomfortable. I am really excited to wear this because it seems like a good formula and I want to see how long it lasts. This retails on the Noyah website for $16.

IMG_3712

The final product is actually multiple products in one and I am so so so so excited for this one. It is by Ofra Cosmetics and it is an Ofra Pro magnetic palette. This was made exclusively for Boxycharm and also came with six different Ofra eyeshadows which retail at $10 a piece. One of my shadows came broken which was a bummer, but another bummer was that 2 of the shadows didn’t seem as pigmented and creamy as the others, but I want to work with them and give them a try. I am mostly excited for the magnetic palette, I had some single shadows laying around with no home, so I was able to put them in and fill the palette. The shadows it came with by Ofra are Bohemian, Buttercup, Smoke, Iron, Truffle, and Millennium Gold. Although I am not sure which is which because they were not listed on the actual pans. This was a great deal because the shadows alone are $60 total, and that doesn’t even include the exclusive palette.

IMG_3710

Once again I am extremely happy with my Boxycharm. It retails for $124, not including the palette. I can not wait for August to receive my next box. Who else loves Boxycharm?! Thanks for reading!

New Beauty Products Review

Hey everyone! For Today’s post I am going to review some new products I have been testing out and using. Some makeup, skincare, and even tanning lotion, so let’s just jump on in to the reviews.

The first new product I have been using is the Ka-Brow brow gel by Benefit. I love this product. It makes my brows look better than any other product I have used. I use the shade “4” and it matches my brows perfectly. It reminds me a lot of the Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow but the packaging is cuter and easier to use. It also comes with a little brush, which I love. Benefit has released a lot of new brow products lately and this product really makes me want to go try them all. I got this at Sephora and it retails for $24.

IMG_3687

The next product I purchased are the new Tarte 911 under eye rescue patches. It is basically a gel under eye mask that decreases puffiness and dark circles. I have been seeing these constantly used on the Tarte snapchat and have been dying to try them. The first time I tried them was after a night out in Las Vegas and the next morning they made my eyes look so much better. I will definitely be using these the morning after long nights. I also put them in the fridge so they are even cooler, and more refreshing. You are suppose to keep them on for 10-15 minutes, so I just use them before I am going to do my makeup. They sell them at Sephora for $22.

IMG_3689

The next product isn’t a new product to the market but it is new to me. After seeing so many good reviews I finally ordered the Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter by The Balm. I am not really in love with this product. I was expecting to receive this product and absolutely fall in love with it, but no. I think the reason I don’t like it is because I just set my expectations too high. I do like the formula, it isn’t very creamy but it is blendable and long lasting. My main issue is I was expecting a beautiful highlight and to me, this highlighter is very subtle and almost just blends in to well with my skin tone. I do think it would be a good highlighter for a no makeup, natural look. You can purchase this on The Balm’s website for $24.

IMG_3684

Next is a product that was actually given to me by my step-sister, the Loving Tan 2 hour express deluxe bronzing mousse. I am very fair and used the Dark shade and it turned out beautiful. I used this for the first time the day I left for Las Vegas. I love how convenient it is, because you only have to wait at least 2 hours to wash it off. Although you could leave it on longer for more color. I was nervous because before I washed it off it did look extremely blotchy, but it turned out even and beautiful. I used a Morphe M439 to apply and blend it. I recommend watching Jaclyn Hill’s self tanning tutorial, which is what I followed. This retails for $39.95 on the Loving Tan website and it is an Australian based company so the shipping does take a while and can be pricey, but to me it is worth it.

IMG_3685

Last but certainly not least I want to talk about the new Urban Decay one & done hybrid complexion perfector. This is basically a light coverage foundation/ sunscreen/ BB cream, I would say. It does have SPF 20 so that to me is always a plus. I love just throwing some of this on and heading out the door. It is very long lasting and is a very lightweight feel on my face. It blends really well and doesn’t look to cakey. I used the shade Light. The only issue I had with this is I feel like the bottle that I received wasn’t very full. The first time I used it I noticed how light the bottle felt. It retails at Sephora for $34.

IMG_3686

That is it for my reviews today! Thank you all so much for reading and being a part of my blogging journey. Until next time.

June Boxycharm

Hey everyone! So today’s post is going to be an unboxing basically, of my June boxycharm. So for those of you who do not know, Boxycharm is a $21 monthly beauty subscription box. This is my first box from them and I believe every box comes with 5-6 full size products, this box came with 5. So I just opened my box and these are my initial thoughts on all the products. Let’s jump on in.

IMG_3456

So the first thing I noticed in the box, which I knew this product would be included is, a 3 pack of Farmacy sheet masks. They are the Brightening Hydrating Coconut Gel Masks. I know this brand is sold at Sephora but the box of these masks say that these are exclusively for Boxycharm, and I love hydrating sheet masks so I am really excited to try these. It also says that these are naturally derived ingredients, paraben free, free of formaldehyde and artificial coloring, and no animal testing. It says that it helps to even skin tone, overall clarity, and also hydration of course. It says that this retails for $24.

IMG_3449

The next product I pulled out of the box was the Cougar Beauty Mineral Face & Body Shimmer. This is a mineral powder basically to add wherever you may want to glow and have some sparkle. It is in the shade “Diamond Kiss”. This product is also from the UK I believe. At least that is where the packaging says it is manufactured. I am also very excited to try this product because I am going to Las Vegas next week and I think this will be great for going to the pool, or out to at night when I want that extra glow and sparkle. It is also a subtle sparkle, it is definitely there but to me it doesn’t look like cheap tacky glitter. This retails for $16.

IMG_3445

The next product is the Girlactik Beauty Precise Eyeliner Marker. So as soon as I opened the box I swatched this liner and 30 seconds later I rubbed it with a napkin….nothing. It did not smudge at all, a little tiny bit went onto the napkin but the swatch itself still looked flawless and not touched at all. It seems to also be very lightweight and it says it is long lasting, which being smudge proof I am sure it is long lasting. I am not the best at winged liner but this point is so precise I feel like it will even be easy for me to use. I am very excited to try this out. It retails for $20.

IMG_3446

The next product, and the product I am least excited about is a LVX Nail Polish. It says that this is a long lasting, chip resistant polish with a gel-like formula. It is also vegan friendly, which is a plus. I am honestly just not really a nail polish person, I occasionally get acrylics done at the nail shop, but I rarely paint my own nails. One thing that bothers me is the packaging, there is a square cap on top that you remove to get to the actual lid and brush. This top does nothing, it doesn’t even stay on. It is pointless and I feel like maybe mine is broken because I don’t understand why it just keeps falling off. Also I do think you will need about 2-3 coats of this polish to really not have any of your natural nail show. This is the shade “Serene” and it retails for $18.

IMG_3452

The final product in the box is the Ofra Oil Control Pressed Powder. I do love Ofra Cosmetics but I am not too excited about this product because my skin is rarely ever oily. I typically have very dry skin, with my t-zone rarely getting oily. It is a pretty big pan though, and it also seems like it will be good to use to set my concealer. It is also the most expensive product in the box and retails at $39.95.

So as far as just unboxing the box so far I am very impressed with this subscription. I will actually use all of these products, and the first three I would actually purchase if I had seen them in a store somewhere. The total retail price of the box is about $118 and for only spending $21, I think I definitely got my money worth. Thanks for reading everyone!

Ole Henriksen Skincare Review

Hey everyone! So today’s post I thought I would review some of the Ole Henriksen skincare products. I do want to be honest and let you all know I was sent these products to test out and review, I did not purchase them and I am not being paid to review them. These are 100% my real honest opinions on these products. So lets just jump into the reviews.

The first product I tried from Ole Henriksen was the Power Bright, 3 step brightening system. This product is my favorite! It really did show instant results in brightening my skin, and I also noticed how smooth my skin got and how visibly smaller my pores looked after using this product. The first step is their Truth Sugar Glow Polishing Mask. This is my favorite step, this mask smelled amazing and this step alone made my skin look great. They also sell this mask separately, and I will definitely be purchasing it. The next step is the Truth 25% Vitamin C Concentrate. The final step is the Pure Truth Melting Cleanser. Then you remove with the cleansing sponge that is supplied with the treatment. Once all 3 steps are complete your skin is definitely refreshed and glowing. If you have sensitive skin I do recommend doing a patch test because Vitamin C can be a little harsh on the skin, I personally didn’t have any negative reactions though. I loved this whole treatment, and I will definitely be purchasing this again on my own. It is exclusive to Sephora and it costs $55 for a box with 6 different treatments.

The next product that Ole Henriksen sent me was the Sheer Transformation Moisturizer. I have a love-hate relationship with this product so far. I have very dry skin, so I love trying out different moisturizers in different ways. So I will start with what I like, this moisturizer is definitely hydrating and it is also slightly exfoliating. I also had a huge blemish when I first started using this that was on my face for about a week, and after using this moisturizer and my other Ole Henriksen products it was gone within 2 days. I enjoy using this moisturizer at night, I like to really pack it on before bed and let it soak into my skin while I sleep. Now for what I dislike, I do not like to wear this under my makeup. I feel like when I put it on in the morning after using it at night, or putting it on before my makeup really makes my face become oily through out the day. I also do not like the scent, it doesn’t have a strong scent but while applying it smells a little funky. This product is also exclusive to Sephora and it comes in three different sizes ranging from $14 to $65.

The final product I was given by Ole Henriksen is their Truth Serum Collagen Booster. I feel as if I haven’t used this product enough to give a 100% full review on it. It is jam packed with Vitamin C, and I did find it to be firming on my skin, which is a plus. My favorite thing about this serum is the smell. It smells like an orange 50/50 bar. It honestly smells so good that I will wear it just for the smell alone. It has an amazing scent. This is also a Sephora exclusive, and they have it in multiple sizes ranging from $15-$128 depending on the size.

So overall, I would give the Ole Henriksen brand a solid B based off of these products. I would definitely be interested in trying other products by them, and I will also definitely be purchasing more of the brightening systems, as well as the Truth Sugar Scrub on its own. Thank you Ole Henriksen for the products, and thank you to all of you for reading! Until next time!

Rocksbox Subscription

Hey everyone! So today is a super quick blog post. I have been trying out a new subscription box that I wanted to share with all of you once I had the chance to really try it and look into it.

IMG_2997

So lets break it all down. Rocksbox is a name brand jewelry rental subscription for $19 a month. You pay the $19 a month and in return you receive 3 name brand jewelry pieces at a time to wear for however long you want, and then you send them back whenever you are done and get three more pieces in return. Best thing about it? If you like the piece, you keep it and pay a low discounted member’s only price. How do you know you will even like the products? Rocksbox is extremely personalized! Not only do you fill out a survey for them to get to know you better, but then you can make your own wishlist on their site and they will assign you a stylist! Your stylist will pick an item off of your wishlist and then send you two other items with it that will go well with your own style.

I love to change up my accessories and always wear something new, so this subscription is perfect for me. You also get high end products without spending the high end price. I love to look “rich” without the price tag, it is one of my favorite things. It is also very easy to send the items back, you receive them in an envelope that fits in your mailbox, so you can just put the items back in that envelope with the return shipping label they provide, and just put it right back into your mailbox. It is that simple!

So, if you all want to give Rocksbox a try, they did give me a code “Corinnascornerxoxoxo” to receive your first month absolutely free! If you end up not liking it, (which I doubt will happen) all you do is unsubscribe on the website and you will never be charged! If you love it, (which you will) all you do is keep adding to your wishlist so they can keep sending you amazing products! Thanks for reading everyone. Let me know if you have ever tried Rocksbox, and what you think about it!
